Rokstok Lite

I forgot there is a rear stud also, i dont use a sling so i remove all studs, there for flush cups are irrelevant to me

the peak 44 bastion, Rokstock light, etc ship basically the same unless you ordered with accessories installed. It’s just a base line weight.

obviously via your post you should buy the $1500 MDT 26 or step up to the Echlon versa ultralight @ 958 plus as it’s only 14oz’s out of the box. Echelon is lightest I’ve seen.

I think the Rokstock light if around 22oz or less with a palm swell stock would be a great price point
I've already got the HNT26. And the XLR Element 4.0mg. And a Rokstok. I'm just waiting to see how light the Rokstok Lite comes in at to decide between that and the Versa.

I don’t think at the roklite price point it will beat Versa weight wise, if it does it will be a steal. I don’t see them sacrificing to much durability

17in barrel. Balances right in front of the magazine. It balances and carries much better than the factory stock.
So you add an OTM style suppressor and the balance probably pulls back a little more. I have an 18' build in process.

Can you send a pic? I'm working on this same setup and wondered if the RS1.2 might feel too bulky for a trainer.

Here is mine.

Its not bad and currently set to be an exact clone of my larger rifle which makes a ton of sense as a trainer.

It just got me also thinking given so little recoil that a lighter sleeker version sure would be nice. And I generally dont use the scope at higher power settings so if I can save some size and weigh there it might make sense. Im actually not so sure my fixed 6 is much smaller or lighter anyway though now that I think about it.

Love that cerokote

Which finish is that? It looks fantastic.

Called in and had them do something custom. I think it was an OD base with tears and shading around the tears with a darker green and brown. I then had them add the black spatter. Was really happy with how it turned out.

I have another full carbon one I am thinking about having done the same way but with a few shades of brown.

I used Form’s RSS a bit at the winter course, which was the prototype wood Rokstok Lite + 16.5” 223 with an OG suppressor prototype. Many other students used it too. We all agreed for a gun with such little recoil, there was no downside to using the lite stock vs the standard. That one had a rail and it was fine but it would be even more svelte if you ditch the rail as you suggested since at times I found my hand wanted to go where the rail was on the foreend, which is shorter on the lite compared to the original rokstok.

I think for a low recoiling rifle (223, 6mm, etc.) intended to be lighter weight and built for hunting/carrying as opposed to long range/competition, the lite has a lot of benefits without any significant downsides.

Did the 16.5 inch leave you wanting any more barrel length?
