I just purchased a t3x lite in 300 win mag and am looking for the right scope. I would like to keep the weight down but also have decent magnification. So far, I have narrowed it down to the Swarovski z5 3.5x18x44mm. It weighs just under 16 ounces.

Are there other options that I am overlooking in this performance range? Also, does anyone have experience with this scope that they would care to share? The reticle I am looking at is the brh. There is a lot of info on the Internet but it is hard to find trustworthy sources like this site. Thanks for any help.

I've got a Leupold vx3i on my 300 superlite and like it. I know some guys dont like Leupold but I haven't had any problems with the ones I have on my rifles. I got the 4.5-14 and wish it had just a bit more magnification though.

That looks like a great scope. I didn't see any offerings that had the range in magnification that the Z5 has but Leupold has a better selection of reticles in my opinion.

Leupold VX3 4.5-14 on my tikka T3 lite in 300 WSM. It's a tough scope for sure. I have always used leupold for my scopes and have never had a problem.

You can drop a small block in a Miata but you might want to upgrade the tranny and suspension.

Z5 sucks in my mind.

Sfp in a hunting scope with 18x is a big fail.

Paltry 5 mil on the turret or ret seems all sorts of wack.

That package in the z3 3.5-10 is all sorts of win.

I've got that same scope on my .300WM Superlite. It's been fine for me.

I just put a 4.5-18 LRHSi on my 7mm T3X. I know it is a bushnell, but it is an awesome scope. I like it more than my NF SHV.

I have the same scope on my 300 WSM Tikka T3. But at 26 oz its likely more than the OP wants to put on his as it sounds like he wants a lightweight (sub 16 oz scope).

And no Johnny I have no problems getting full sight picture at max power. My SWFA 3-15X42 is a MUCH tighter eyebox.

I have the Leupold vx3i on my tikka and it's worked out well. I don't do a lot of rifle hunting though. The CDS dial is nice. I just use moa though

I have a sako 85 .300 WM with the z5 5-25x52BT.
The combo is awesome. Scope clarity and durability are top notch. To me at least
