September Archery Kit

Below is what I am planning on packing for my first trip out west. Heading to Colorado opening week for high sountry archery mule deer. Not sure if I am packing too much. Feel free to give suggestions for additions or subtractions. Rain gear may or may not be packed depending on forecast for the week.

Yes except pronghorn is mosty a truck camp kinda deal, so I wouldn't carry anything extra including rain gear, worse case walk a few miles on flattish back to your truck. Other then rain gear my kit doesn't change until about 20 degrees and its blowing snow and cant feel your hands after 3 min. Then the heavy clothes come out.

No need for the extras on anything. And rarely pack rain gear, but that is because I use a tarp for my shelter and can easily deploy if I have to wait out a shower.

Can never have too many socks... if your feet don’t work no amount of other gear is going to help.

My pack from that list would include

1 SS top
1 QZ
Uncompaghre (90% chance you’ll never put it on, but worth having if you need it)
Rain jacket (same as above)

2 Boxers
Guide pants
Rain pants

And everything on your misc list assuming it is around 10 oz total.

I would ditch both fleeces, the kiln and the extra shirt. I wore a FL 1/4 zip aerowool last september in CO, never felt the need for anything more.
