Shooting sticks - convert from hiking sticks?

Anyone do this? I'm using my hiking sticks more and more and want to double-duty them as shooting sticks for turkey season and future elk hunting.

Trekking poles. Loop left over right. Loop right over left and cross them. Tada shooting sticks. We do it all the time.
