The SilencerCo line is that the maximum rate of fire for the Scythe is 10 RPM with factory ammunition and all failures are due to user abuse.

I head up after deer on a seven day backpack hunt in a couple days. Won’t have my new cans in time and with my luck it will “poof” on the one shot I get. How has point of impact been with the failure shots?

A restriction they don't publish (claim its in the manual which you said you couldn't find and definitely not an advertised prior to purchase restriction) and one they slander their users with claiming (with zero proof) it has been exceeded... I was two shots into a 3 round group at 100. Two holes touching. I think the bullet is long gone by the time the can blew upI head up after deer on a seven day backpack hunt in a couple days. Well at least that’s good to know. ThanksI was two shots into a 3 round group at 100. Two holes touching. I think the bullet is long gone by the time the can blew up
They offered me an STM, however I declined since I didn't want to wait for ATF due to proximity to hunting season.I had that same thought. Seems like alot of these cans are failing. Might try snd see if they will send my the Scythe STM instead of another TI
So they just repaired your TI and sent back? They offered me an STM, however I declined since I didn't want to wait for ATF due to proximity to hunting season.
I kinda figured that. I bought the can back in June form 4 was approved in 48 hours. If they haul ass I could get one in time to huntYes, they were willing to repair or replace. Replacing, with a new serial number, will put it back in jail.
Interesting - I hadn't heard of SiCo offering to replace with the STM. Nice option, but the whole point of going with the Scythe Ti was the weight savings over steel.Yes, they were willing to repair or replace. Replacing, with a new serial number, will put it back in jail.
I think the STM in short config only weighs three ounces more. Id rather my can not explode again lolInteresting - I hadn't heard of SiCo offering to replace with the STM. Nice option, but the whole point of going with the Scythe Ti was the weight savings over steel.
Fair point! hahaI think the STM in short config only weighs three ounces more. Id rather my can not explode again lol
Unless the shutdown drags on.I kinda figured that. I bought the can back in June form 4 was approved in 48 hours. If they haul ass I could get one in time to hunt
