I wanted to do a quick review on the SKRE Bridger Glassing mitts now that I have used them through a late season hunt. I also wanted to show off my bull so this is dual purpose.

I got these mitts through a giveaway here on Rokslide. Prior to having these I was using wool lined leather mitts.

First impression was that they are true to weight (9.5 oz for size large) and they are quite a bit more than just a glassing mitt. Some things that stood out: leather palms and fingers, removable liner, suede patch on the back of each thumb for wiping your nose, they come up the arm pretty far and cinch at the wrist and forearm.

I have probably 12 days of use on these and my thoughts now are: the free pointer actually helps with running a focus wheel on glass a lot. It is too big to actually shoot with them on though. Down to about 10 degrees in moderate wind they are all you need for insulation. They are durable enough to use for stuff around camp, unlike an ultralight down glassing mitt.

These things are pretty sweet. I think calling them a glassing mitt sells them short a little. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them riding snow mobiles or for anything in the cold.

About 10 degrees and 20mph wind. No cold fingers for me. Had to build a fire for my boy

There’s a little loop on the three finger part of the mitt. I used it to clip the mitts to the outside of my pack. Works really well for fast access and they don’t get filled with debris hanging with the opening down. It’s a nice little feature.

Some phone scope pictures.

And of course I have to show off my success. This is a tough hunt and a guy really has to get lucky to get an arrow in a bull.

I wanted to say too that I have a few things from first lite, Kuiu, and Sitka. These mitts are put together just as good or maybe better based on how straight the seams and how good the stitching looks.
