Hi guys

I'm ready to get into the smokeless muzzleloader game. I can't decide if I should go with a shouldered barrel or a barrel nut remage barrel? I plan on using either an arrowhead or a hankins prefit, if I go that route. I have a remington 700 sa on its way. Anyone go one way and wish they went the other? Any input is appreciated, thanks.

I have a barrel nut. I know I’m limited on my powder charge. I’m ok with that, as my shoulder wouldn’t want much more. I have a brake and it most certainly helps. Shooting a fury start tip, 71 grains of h4198, I’m getting around 2825 FPS, and 72.5 h4198 with a 275 Parker BE gets me 2775. It all depends on what your goals are and ranges you plan on hunting. I don’t feel under gunned at the ranges I hunt. My best advice is whoever you go with, talk with them and be honest about your expectations. I don’t know how quick you can get a profit, but I do know Hankins is 2 years behind on a build.
