Spotter recommendation for range digiscoping

Working up long range skills on a range with steel targets 350-1250 yards (in 100 yd increments).

Been digiscoping with Kowa 553, but getting some ”boiling” when using 40-45x.

For exclusive range use (video of shots to capture trace and impact position), what do y’all recommend? Or any tips on using iPhone with PhoneSkope. (don’t seem to get scene in perfect focus)

I have access to MIL discount programs.

Another way to skin a cat is use a drone. In the field I'll fly mine out to the 1000 yard targets and snap a photo and zoom in on the phone. Not advised if others are shooting but I'm all alone in the woods or on blm land.
