Spring bear and turkey

I apologize if this is on here somewhere already but I didn't see it anywhere. My fiancé and I are looking to get a turkey slam together and we decided to go after Merriam in montana first since she has always wanted to go to montana. I noticed that spring bear and turkey run at the same time. I originally planned for us to hunt turkey in the ashland area but it looks like bear hunting is limited there. Are there any decent areas to hunt both at once or should I just forget about bear and focus on turkey
