Just picked up a new used bow (thanks @Garryett!), and needing some advice on getting it set up.

So far, I’ve got the bow, release, and the sight (MBG Ascent). Pretty sure that I’ll be sticking with QAD drop away rest, needing help for stabilizer and wrist sling. Also, arrow recommendations.

If it helps, Hoyt Double XL, 32” draw, somewhere between 60lbs-70lbs, and shooting 125g points. I’d like it to have ~ 10% FOC, but I don’t need anything crazy.

Bee stinger, doinker, hot rods, riddance, conquest are all good stabilizers, you want one over 10” if you want it to do anything besides deaden vibration and noise. Any wrist sling will do if you choose to have one, I personally don’t use one. I like black eagle arrows. I would buy the outlaw arrows, they are cheap and very durable.

60-70 doesn't help much 😁 Pick a draw weight. With a 32" draw you are likely going to be shooting .300 or .250.

I use Bee Stinger, there are other good ones.

Sling, find a small time guy on Archery Talk and give them some business.
