Looking for real world feedback on this ball head for a rifle

I have the black version with a regular screw arca connection. It’s no anvil, but you knew that. It’s heavy. It doesnt pan super smoothly, but you can make it work. It is plenty stable enough to shoot off of.

is 20 oz heavy? 5 more oz than the Anvil?

Anyone else have this head?

Mine is the fb-52gnn—it isnt the skeltonized version and is heavier, 24oz I believe, sorry if that wasnt clear. Obviously depends what you are doing with it if it matters and what a third of a pound is worth to you. I picked mine up in trade for a 4-pack of fancy beer, and it’s been well worth every penny, but yeah I feel the weight in my pack if Im carrying it far. I am also not 30 anymore and my knees are out of warranty, so ymmv.

I haven’t used that one, and though I am generally opposed to cheap Chinese items, this one has actually worked quite well for the last 6 months.
