Swaro x5i - anyone setting zero to take advantage of sub zero feature?

Curious if anyone is using the sub zero feature on their x5 by setting zero at 400, 500, 600 yards etc? I am usually shooting 400 yards plus so I can see an advantage to setting my zero higher. Currently zero on all my rifles is 100 yards. I think I would need to change all of my rifles to the same zero so I do not create confusion in the field for myself.

I set my zero at 300 yards with my X5. Then every 50 yards with the ballistic turret rings. 500 yards is three clicks past the 450 marker with my 270WSM.

I think it's very easy.

seems a whole lot easier to set zero at 100 and then just keep it dialed up to whatever distance you want to zero. Makes it easier to have a card with quick references for my brain. I use a kestrel for stuff over 500, and I have never used the sub-zero function. Mine is an X5 3.5x18x50

My way needs no card.

Also not adjustment to 300+ yards.

Very easy and minimalist.

an X5 is an awful lot of scope to be minimalist, your method certainly will work and I have used similar with other scopes. Not knocking your way, it’s just a lot of scope to use that way imho.

Well you are right. I was thinking of my Z5 with the BT rings.

The X5i 5-25X on my 300WM Proof rifle I have a ballistic tape on the turret with 25 yard increments. Sorry. It's also very easy to use. I still set the zero at 300yards.
