Just picked up a new tikka t3x in 7 PRC and will be running the tally rings as well. I'm having trouble finding torque specs for mounting the ring bases to the receiver. Have seen some listed at 20-25, and others as much as 65 in-lbs. What are you guys running? Where do I find this info? Can't find it easily through Tikka and seems like most rings suggest different torque specs.
The baby screws to the receiver that talleys rely on are typically spec’d around 15 in/pounds. Pic or dovetail clamping screws are what get 50+ in/lb.
are we liking the Hyperlites? I know they’re newer and I’m curious if they’re holding up. Maybe there’s no need, but is there any reason not to use them? I’ve always had good luck with Tally’s but I’m no expert. Do the hyperlites you suggested, or even seekins or night force rings at around $200 offer that much more? I don’t disagree. But compared to Talley, I’d take my chances on a new warne product that uses the existing dovetail and a recoil pin.

Sportsmatch TO-84 are an economic alternative. In addition to reliability the offer more adjustment up and down the dovetail to get the best scope placement.
