1. It was never actually worth over $1600 to begin with

2. Probably (hopefully) coming out with a new scope or reticle that will replace it, that would make these no longer sell

I liken it to jewelry. They mark things up so much from the start that when they offer a sale it seems like a great deal. But in reality.....this is probably closer to where the true value of the scopes/jewelry should be.

I don’t disagree on any of the points above, but was was pretty dang happy to see roughly $ 500 off anywhere else after days of staring at the internet on what scope I want on the new rig.
