Biggest problem with North and East Texas is the generally small tract ownership. A buck like that in most of North and East Texas will visit 3-4 properties on a weekly basis, and you never know when your neighbor will get lucky and then you never see the deer again. Has happened to me many times.

And not a part of Texas most folks associate with big whitetails either, but they should. North and East TX have been coming on more and more over the past 25 years as antler restrictions and education has made it's way into the hunting culture.
yep are deer where sub stocked back in 1987 with about 150 transplants from Austin deer herd, and they have done great.

yep your correct I am just lucky i own his bedroom.
