Who’s!
Gonna!
Carry!
The meat?!?!?!

Felt much better after that breakfast skillet, 4 pieces of toast, a bowl of sausage gravy and a waffle with a cup of whipped butter and syrup.
Cowboy camping at millstone lake was a massive mistake because now my down bag and everything I own is soaked.
I feel almost as uncomfortable as the gohunt guys must makes themselves when they’re hunting with 6 of their buddies and a 5k dollar dome tent.

Gonna launch an attempt at the Illinois river to river trail tomorrow morning.
Can’t decide if I should wear my crispi Colorado’s or my Hoka Tectons.
I really, really want to wear the tectons and just haul massive ass, but I’m a bit afraid of my feet getting wet in muddy sections and putting myself through unnecessary suffering.
Thoughts?
Opinions?

Fugg.
I’m back in the cuck cave.
Why tf is it so hot?
I can’t wait for this cold front to blow in a cool things off.
Totally bitched out and got an Airbnb for tonight.
Gonna tell everyone it’s because my mom was freaking out about the threat of severe weather, but really I just want this sweet beautiful shower. 🥵

Today’s gonna be a cuck or cream kinda day, team.
Took 2 showers, ate some Mexican, re-uped the food stash and got some bandages for my back.
got a little ibuprofen/Tylenol cocktail pumping through my veins I like to call azt that I’m hoping will alleviate the pain in my left knee in the downhills.
33 degrees and cloudy 🙏
Here we go.

This seems like a fun hike but I want to know how you are reaching max speeds of 16+ mph while walking with a backpack.
Because either strava or this trail guide are on some bullshit.
I think my phone’s reading a bit heavy each day. Like 3-5mi.

It was like 50 degrees today so I only went through 2 liters of water as opposed to 15 when I’m public land archery bow hunting
Almost 17 mph is nothing for someone who can drink 3.96 gallons of water per day! Douglasr, you sound superhuman. We should send you after DB Cooper's money!

You need to add Usain Bolt to that list, 23+ mph on day three.
Normally I would say this was while I was tumbling on my ass down a hill, but I’ve somehow managed to stay on my feet so far. 🤞

I need time to reflect before I write a proper conclusion to this trail guide.
But I’m glad I went with the boots.

Congrats on your achievement!
Thanks man.
That was way harder than I expected it to be.
How tf do people run 100mi ultras?
And especially how in the actual f**k can people run the Moab 240 in under 3 days.
What a bunch of sick f**ks. 😳
