Tikka T3 lite... Should I wait

I've been squirreling money away for awhile and putting other projects ahead of buying a t3 lite in 7mm mag. Knowing that Tikka is shortly going to be selling the 3x my question is, Should I wait until the t3 price drops to buy one (current t3 not the 3x so I can save a few bucks in order to buy better optics)?

Will the price drop in the next couple months of the t3 or is this wishful thinking?

Does anyone have some additional info on this? #fingerscrossed

Does anyone know the MSRP or the suspected actual price of the T3x? My guess is that it will be at least $100 more than the T3. And I would imagine T3s will be purchased and not restocked on shelves before there is a mass discount.

I own 2 t3 superlite rifles and would not hesitate to buy one. Watch Sportsmans Warehouse, they have sales on them occasionally.

If I knew the new model would be the same price and in good supply I may say wait but you may watch a lot of T3s sell and be gone before new ones start to trickle in.

Kind of a puzzler/gamble....good luck

I had this same thing going through my mind... I don't think they will be discounted any more than they go on sale for occasionally at sportsmans warehouse or any of those places..
reasons I think that
1. they are guns, guns don't really devalue
2. at the rate they already sell, no need to discount to clear shelf space
3. new gun will most likely be more expensive, leading to people still purchasing the old one if money is the issue.

like said above, it is a gamble, because they may just sell out, not restock, and then you are stuck paying more money for the new one.
with that said, i went ahead and bought a superlite in 30-06

I found that bud's gun shop has them for $521 & even with $15 for FFL that's cheaper than I can find locally. Whittaker gun shop online has them discounted down to $491, they just don't have 7mm or other mag calibers.

Kinda depends on what you are looking for too. The stainless models at Bud's are $698 which is pretty steep.

You're right colonel. I'm looking for a shooter synthetic with blued barrel. Don't care to pay the delta for a stainless. Would rather pay for better optics.
