Anyone have insights on the torque settings for mounting?
Comparing the sportsmatch and Nightforce instructions I see different values:

Sportsmatch rings instructions - 15 in-lbs
Nightforce instructions - 25 in-lbs

For the dovetail clamp screws, the sportsmatch instruction say 38 in-lbs for my size of hex screw.

You can split it and go 20 in pounds. Depending on the cartridge you are shooting you might be able to get away with 15. Really it’s personal preference but I generally run 20 in pounds on ring caps these days unless I get some movement from a heavy recoiling cartridge

With dozens of TO84’s used very heavily.

Degrease, loctite and-

20-25in-lbs on rings caps
Tight on base screws. More than 38in-lbs. I use the Allen wrench and tighten by feel until it isn’t going to move anymore without stripping or breaking- you can feel it.

I run mine at 25 in/lbs for the top, I put the bottoms ones on at 65 I believe.

Edit*

I used 65 for the ht073 which uses a larger screw, on the t084 I used the supplied wrench and just cranked them on there so no idea on the torque number but they are TIGHT.

I think I’ve seen you mention this before, but action screws on Tikka @ 65 in-lbs right? Do you loctite these too?
