Trijicon Question

I am about to re-scope my Model Classic Stainless and am considering a couple of the Trijicon scopes. I am a hunter and not a distance shooter, so a scope in the range of 3-12 power is what I’m looking at. Does anyone know of a reason to avoid this brand? I hope to buy it prior to the tariff price increase so I need to move relatively quickly I think.

I would purchase a Trijicon without any hesitation. My 3-9x40 Accupoint is a superb scope.

Ditto above. Ive only had 3, and only for a few years, but all have been problem free and I think very good buys with a reputation for good durability. These replaced some much more popular scopes that I had consistent problems with. Worth checking out the scope field evaluations forum here for the various trijicon models—all have fared well here.

Huron or Ascent 3-12x40 is great as well, and not too much of a weight penalty over a 3-9 Huron.

I liked the Huron and didn’t notice any shorter eye relief compared with the Accupoint. I sold my Huron for other reasons, but I thought it was a good scope.

Some models even within a “family” will have different eye relief. The specific scopes Ive had this hasnt been an issue. On the contrary my 1-6 accupoint is exceptionally good in this regard. But this is the only dig Ive heard on a few of the trijicon scopes.
Of course, there are also some top tier scopes with similar complaints (NF, etc) so just pick your specific models, but dont let it scare you away from the brand entirely.

Several…the eye relief is a non issue and I can’t say I see any difference with the Accupoints I have. This is with the Huron in 1-6, 3-9, 3-12, Ascent in 1-4 and 3-12, and Accupoint 3-9. All plenty of eye relief and just great scopes all around.

I’ve been migrating over to Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 green mil-dot scopes on virtually all of my big game rifles. I regularly practice to 600 yards and don’t find 9X top end to be a handicap. Previously, I was running a Nightforce NSX 2-10 on my mountain rifle. I’m much happier with my current set up.

Are you dialing or just using holds at 9x? I have the same scope and dial for elevation but hold for windage. Kind of a messy setup with AB quantum’s update I can’t select my wind in mils but my elevation in moa.

I've got a Huron 3-12 and Tenmile 3-18, they're both great. I've never had an issue or complaint with the eye relief.

My next scope will most likely be another Trijicon.

Also... Glass is supposed to be (and looks) the same between Huron/Credo/Tenmile.

If Huron meets your expectations, it's a killer deal.

Can I ask for a little more detail? I have three NXS 2-10, but am strongly considering an AccuPoint 3-9 for my Kimber. What do you like better about it?

Love my 3-9 Accupoint. Awesome scope. Waiting to see how it performs in a ground blind in a few weeks since that is my only concern but I'm sure it will do great.
