Fellas,
I was recently purchased a new to me unused sako av in 300win. Before I do anything drastic to the gun I was curious if their are options to getting new bottom metal i believe it is called that would allow for a magazine instead of the traditional loading through the action. I anticipate purchasing an aftermarket stock after this hunting season to use for next year. I dont want to hunt with a pristine walnut stock. I need to see how she shoots and that will determine if i want to change the barrel or have it taken to a gun smith to have the end threaded for a brake. If i do want a brake I may just keep the action and get an aftermarket barrel that already is threaded. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Is their a market for unused parts like these that could help fund aftermarket parts? I have no sentimental value with the gun but will definitely use it. Cheers
