Getting into taxidermy has been very rewarding for me. I’ve gotten to see some very neat things in a short amount of time and nature never ceases to amaze me. Following my post of the Craziest Moose Horns Ever in the Moose Forum, I give you the unicorn bear.

Aside being a heckin toad of a bear, there was nothing visibly wrong/different with his hide or even the meat on the skull.

Next up, we have Fat Lip. I can’t wait to get this guy cleaned up and see what lies under the gums.

Wow. That's insane. Great looking mount also!

The taxidermist I do skulls for is very talented. We partnered up back in July and he’s kept my beetles hooked up.

I hope your beetles receive fair wages, are free range and are not discriminated against for any reason.

That's a crazy skull! Thanks for sharing and it's very cool to see what some animals survive through. Someone posted pictures of a coyote that had a broken jaw and some other pics. Very cool.

I'm sure you've probably seen this but I'll put it here under oddities for fun. The ol ladys 2019 20 2/16" Ca black bear with some old canine damage. Tooth that just hung there had rubbed two different grooves in it against the lower canine. Lots of bone loss on skull and isolated chunk was extremely porus. Bear was big and healthy, killed while eating acorns.

That’s cool, love the uniqueness.

I saw a sow with three Cubs one time, one cub was "blue". The other two were black. That was in b zone, Siskiyou co. California. Only one I've ever seen. Couldn't believe it when saw it but I watched them with binos for several minutes walking across canyon from me. Coolest coat I'd ever seen. Wonder if it's all grown up now or if it died in the last 15 years since I saw it.

A tiny cavity and I’m squirming like a baby. Yowsers that’s gotta hurt.
Mother Nature is amazing.
