Is it just me or is the VV web tool extremely reserved in powder load recommendations?

Backstory:
Found out today a local shop started carrying the full line and actually has damn near everything in stock. While doing some load searches on their website, most of their loads seemed significantly under what I’ve seen on this forum and in other data sources.

Looking at 6.5CM & 6.5PRC loads (N560/N565), possibly .223 (N540) and 300WM N570)

What say the ‘slide reloading aficionados?

Example: 6.5 PRC data from Hornady App vs VV

I found VV's loads somewhat lame. I trust Hornady as I shoot a lot of Hornady bullets.
I find it interesting that Hornady’s starting load is over what VV’s max load is. Probably end up grabbing some 565 tomorrow and seeing how it plays out.

I found the same thing. I loaded up several hundred .223 rounds of various powder combos using the same bullet in all. VV's max were not even to Hornady's mid load.

Interesting. For 223, case capacity is the limiting factor on N135 and N140 and VV max has a bit of crunch when seating. Not loaded for anything else yet.

I also have found VV's data very much hit or miss. To me it is, at best, 1 data point for consideration.

46.3 gr N555 with a 140 SMK ran 2850 fps in my 6.5x55 (24.6" barrel), which was a bit over 60000 psi per Quickload. Could have been higher pressure, can't say for sure as that was within the first 50 rounds on that barrel. 6.5 PRC should be able to run much faster than that.

I do love their powder and have more or less consolidated on it for most of my rifles. As always, start low, collect data, and work up slowly.

Interesting. I recently picked up a couple lbs of 560 to work on a load for my 280ai.
