I'm no optics expert. I've tried a couple cheap(sub 200) spotters off amazon. I've used a buddys old Leupold spotter. It's 10x better than them.
I just realized I don't like glassing with one eye and I rarely need the extra detail of a spotter.

I’ve compared mine to Kowa 554, leupold gold ring HD, and a Kowa 773, and razor 80mm.

I still have the razor 65mm. It was as good as the 85mm same brand. Not as good as the 773. The baby Kowa 554 has better colors but the eye relief and viewing experience in the razor I preferred. I liked it better than the leupold too.

I don’t think you can get a better spotter for under $1k (even close to $1500 unless you look at used).
