I read somewhere that these are "finicky" to get behind. someone tell me what that means or if its true?

My 8x32s don't have a very forgiving eyebox However, you can get behind them quickly once you get them set up and find the spot on your brow to rest them.

I had heard the same thing, but I'm my experience they are great. They're maybe too forgiving and allow you to "get behind" them in such a broad range of widths and focus that some people don't have them right but don't realize it. There's certainly a very broad range of focus that's clear in the center and if you didn't get the focus clear all the way to the edge you're missing out on how amazing they can actually be.

Probably just the small exit pupil. I’ve got a giant head (see profile pic) and use all binos at full width. 8x42s are best for me. I don’t have to look through these to know my eyes would constantly be out of them.

Glass is on par with a pair of Swarovski EL and you get the best warranty in the business.

On the other hand they are on the heavier side and you don't get the same branding prestige of Swarovski, Leica or Zeiss. Few models also have better glass (NL Pure comes to mind).
