VX3I 3.5-10x40 CDS-ZL vs VX5HD 2-10x42 Non CDS

I have access to Leupold's VIP pricing and having trouble deciding between the VX3I 3.5-10x40 CDS-ZL and the VX5HD 2-10 Non CDS. Which one would you recommend. It will be mounted on a Browning X Bolt Stainless Stalker 7mm-08. New to rifle hunting for the most part but have shotgun hunted in my youth and an avid bow hunter. Will be hunting in Texas, mainly whitetail with the chance to maybe go shoot some goats or antelope sometime in the near future.

Agree. I’ve really grown fond of the 30mm tube view. Seems bigger to me, who knows if it is.
