Washing Merino Wool?

Do you guys use anything special for washing your merino wool? I see companies like Grangers and Nikwax make special merino wool detergents, but I've never really thought about it and usually just wash my wool with the rest of my hunting clothes with SportWash.. just curious if I should be doing something different.

i've always just used regular soap(nonscented,no dyes) but make sure the water is cold wash as well as cold rinse and hang dry or lay flat to dry and i have never had an issue

I just use a wool wash - most supermarkets have something on the shelves.

Nope, right in the dryer with everything else, never shrinks so far after many washes. Warm wash cold rinse with sportwash. Kuiu, Firstlite, Kryptek.

I wash and dry mine just like all my other clothes.

I use Free and Clear detergent for all my clothes. Only thing different is all my wool gets done together and hung to dry.

I throw it in the dryer. Don't people read the care tags? Machine wash cold, tumble dry low heat.
