I machined an 80% AR .308 lower today, and mated it to a 6.5 Creedmoor upper I put together. This is my first 6.5 Creedmoor and I'm not sure how I feel about it. Kind of giddy, and kind of butterflies in the stomach, like you just F'ed up butterflies. The ones you get after you see that the blood on the ground isn't frothy and pink.

It looks pretty good with it's 16" M-lok handguard and 22" barrel. It's a friggin' boat anchor at 10lbs, so it won't see the hills. OK, maybe antelope hills, and definitely Indiana deer corn fields. A sedate Sightron S3 6-24X50 sits atop the rail. I can say with certainty that I 100% dislike carbine length buffers and adjustable stocks. Rattles on my rifles piss me off. I knew this and ordered anyway. A new stock is on its way.

Do I have to register somewhere with the flat brim hat society? Am I less of a man? I got's questions.
