Growing up, my dad’s 30-06 was legendary. He had an old (70’s?) Mossberg 810AH. The bottom latch had duct tape across it holding it shut, and the thing was good enough to hit every single thing my dad ever tried to shoot.
Dad passed away when I was 17, and all of his guns went everywhere but to me it seems. (He had a bunch!)
This was 13+ years ago, and now I’d love to find another example of his rifle. It doesn’t have to be 30-06, in fact a 270 or 25-06 would be incredibly neat. (270 would be the CH model I think)
Finding one of these seems to be impossible, and not because they are super desirable, they just didn’t make a whole lot of them.
Hoping someone here has the resources to find one, or has one in their collection. I’d like it to be in nice shape and usable.
I see these have gone from $300 to $450 typically. I always seem to look after they recently sold!
