wanting to do a spring spot and stalk black bear hunt in wyoming. never been on a bear hunt before, nor has anyone i personally know. looking at somewhere in the Bighorn NF just wondering if anyone has had any luck or if its worth it in that area. looking for some guidance on this.

If you want to do a spot and stalk black bear hunt in the Bighorns stay north of Highways 14 and 14A. Right up against the MT border would be the best.

Many bears in the Wyoming Range? I wonder if a spring bear hunt there would be very good. I would imagine with the elevation that access wouldn’t really be opening up until late spring.

Following. Season goes to 15 June but the units all have female quotas and will close early once those are met
