Wyoming Youth Preference Points

Started buying preference points for my son at 15 and he obviously got the reduced price youth point. I assume these are the same as full price points and dont have to be used up before he is no longer considered a youth. With it taking so many points for a decent unit I dont expect him to use the points until he is around 20. I think 18 is when they no longer consider a kid as a youth. I anticipate getting 3 reduced price youth points a couple full price adult points for a total of 5 points before we go. Do you guys agree this is how youth points work? It would stink if the youth points need to be used before he turns 18. Thanks

As far as I’ve ever been able to find, they are all the same points. The “youth” points you paid $10 for don’t “expire” when he turns 18.
