Mine was a black bear half body. Taken at age 12 in SW Oregon in the mid 80s. It burned in a house fire along with all of my dad's mounts 16 years ago.

I have about 10 or so mounts currently. He has also done a good job of refilling his walls since the fire.

About 2005. This was a big deal for me. Finally had the money to be able to get one mounted. He was also my first deer to enter in to P&Y, just barely. 126”. I look up there every time I walk by and it makes happy.

This is my first shoulder mount. He was taken in 1976 and I got the mount back in 1977. I had probably taken a couple dozen bucks in my hunting career up to this point. When I walked up to this guy I was blown away with the size of this buck. He was huge. We packed him out on two horses much like you would pack an elk out. Back at camp we weighed all the pieces and came up with 306 lbs. field dressed with no lower legs. I still have not taken a larger bodied buck though I've taken bucks with bigger antlers. He was taken in the Madison Range, Montana. I think he looks pretty good for a nearly 45 year old mount.

Damn sorry but no pic. It was my first A zone 4x4 blacktail from the early 90's. I gave it to a very good friend and his teenage son has it now.

Wow!! A lot of nice critters in this thread!!

My 1st deer, Nov. 22nd 1992, the year I got married, taken on my grandparents farm. Shot him at 15 yards with a 3" mag 00. He made it about 20 yards before doing a summersault and dying. It was a very warm & windy day, and I had a 1/2 mile drag from the woods to the road thru ankle deep mud. Fortunately a couple guys saw me dragging him and came out to help.

Also, by far the fastest mount I've ever had finished. Picked him up on Christmas Eve. The mount was a Christmas gift from my wife, and the taxidermist wasn't supposed to say anything to me. He called, I answered the phone, he told it was finished. My wife wasn't too happy with him.

I have 14 whitetail mounts now, all of them shoulder mounts. For now. I have 2 from last season at the taxidermist now, backpack mounts.

First and only shoulder mount, all others are euros. Would never have even seen him if it hadn’t been for that branch that’s on the cabinet below it. Had a really nice 8-point at about 75 yards but the only shot was through a V in a tree and that little branch was right in the way. This guy grunted at him out of now where and gave me a shot about 5 minutes before dark.

Nothing jaw dropping, but this is my first and only shoulder mount. First big game animal when I was 12. Had to scrimp, save, and hustle every minute of that lead time to come up with the money by the time it was ready. I euro everything now, but have one whitetail I shot as a teenager that I wish I would have mounted. Unlikely to shoot one bigger, but you never know.

Here are my two. Won't be shoulder mounting anything anymore. I prefer euros.
Whitetail was shot in 2002 hunting with my dad.
Muledeer was shot 2011.
They're both at my office as I don't have space for them anymore.

That is a very big antelope! How tall is he and what state, if you don't mind me asking? I live in WY so have seen/shot quite a few, but one like that is a rare sight.
Just west of Casper, Wy. Scored 79 6/8. I don’t remember how tall it is
