If you were hunting the Yukon for moose what dates would you choose?
10-20th or 20-30th

I was told by my taxidermist that has gone up to Alaska the last 18 years for moose. The 20-30th will be harder to draw the bulls off of the cows for calling. I did go during this period this year (17th-29th) in AK and seen plenty of bulls and they were just getting cows gathered during the time while I was there.

I agree 100% Mudslinger......except after a pandemic Covid19 year.
With social distancing and wearing masks I think next year the bulls will have the cows locked down by about July 1st.

I got my MacKenzie mountain bull around 10/1. He had 4 cows with him. We spotted him 3-4 miles away and it took us some time to get there but they never moved from the spot we originally saw them at.
