Colorado elk units

Hey all,

Looking to do a Colorado elk hunt this year. This would be a 1st season rifle hunt. I only have one point and believe I have it narrowed down to 4 units that I like and I keep going back and forth on which one. Units 12, 62, 70, 77, If anyone has any first hand experience with any of these it would be appreciated. I won’t be able to scout over the summer because of work, but I will be able to get to the unit 3 or so days early to get a little idea of it and hopefully find some elk.

doesn't the colo draw let you input four unit choices, not just one? never hunted elk before, looking at all this myself for the first time. then i think there's a box to check to enter a secondary draw for any leftovers. i know colo is a large state, but it seems some of their units/weeks (3 & 11 first rifle) have 1000-4000 hunters out there, that's crazy.
