This year I decided to add another Tikka to the stable. My go to hunting rifle is a T3 in 300wm. I wanted something easy to shoot that I could hunt with and start to learn longer range shooting(easy on a barrel, dial scope). My other rifle is plenty light so this build is going for nothing but shootable. So far I've got:

-Tikka CTR 308
-MT tactical 20Moa base
-Leupold MK 4 3.5-10 M3
-Blackhawk Mountian sling
-Scope level
-Harris Bipod
-RattleCan paint job
-Leupold MK 4 medium rings(on the way.)

Yet to buy-Silencer Co Omega

I'm keeping this on a budget. The only things I have bought so far have been the rifle, base, and rings. Everything else on the build was in my safe.

Looks great. I have a t3 308 compact tactical. It has been on loan to a buddy for going into its second season while I have been flirting with a pair of 700s - on e 308 and one 300 win mag. The win mag is shooting fine but after playing with the 308 on different loads, it isn't shooting as well as I hoped. I am going to have to have the stock reinstalled and bedded or something to get it right. It makes me miss that tikka because it shot every type of ammo I fed it like a friggin laser. High end hornady stuff. Wally World hunting grade. Cheap Egyptian surplus rounds. All sub Moa. Damn those fins can build a gun.

CTR in .260 is a great rifle. I have one in a MPA chassis and it just put out a 3 shot .599" group at 600 yards during a ladder test! (147ELDm and H4350 42.3,42.6,42.9gn)

So I’ve had this thing together for about a month now. My load development went super easy. This thing is a tack driver! I took it out today and and ran 5 rounds quickly off the Bipod to confirm zero. 2” off center was consistent wind drift.
