I am excited to get my hands on one, just need to off load the brand new in the box Garmin Explorer+ I just bought three weeks ago....

My first reaction was great take my money. However the more I think about it the less I see a need.
For 3 oz I would be giving up battery life, which I will then on extended hunt need to carry additional capacity to maybe charge the unit. Also while unlikely the current version is serviceable as standalone gps in case I have a phone issue. It looks like this mini unit isn’t as functional with the screen size.

I am seeing a place for this but it probably isn’t with me.
