Wes Studi at the Oscars

My Wife is watching the Oscars, so I guess I sort of am too. Wes Studi got to speak when the Oscars wanted to show how much they care for the military. Wes told them he joined the National Guard and then served in Vietnam for 12 months. The Crowd cheered him. He then Said, “anyone else serve”. There was silence. Good for him.

I just thought it was very telling that Wes Studi stiffed the audience by asking how many had served and got just silence since non of them had served. It was also telling that no one gave a standing ovation for our service members but they did for just about every other topic.

Don’t think I’ve ever watched an oscar’s show in my life, but glad to know Magua got a jab in! I’ve always liked him.
