Good decap die for military brass?

I have no experience with Lake City brass. The older ADI 7.62x51 was berdan primed prior to 1993 (?). Was buying the ex-mil brass by the Kg and would bust a de-capping pin from time to time from an older berdan primed piece. Otherwise the RCBS die would handle the primer crimp no problem on the...

    Berdan or Boxer primed?

    Lightweight rifle sling?

You could also ditch the sling swivels; using some Spectra/Dynema cord would save a small amount of weight. Potentially be quieter also!

    M95 Mauser .257 Roberts . +P ammo.

I'm no expert, but if it was my skin, I would retire that old banger; remember that's over 50000 PSI next to your face! Bar rimfire ammo I haven't fired off any factory ammo for 20 years. If you roll your own, you can load your ammo how you like and adds a whole new dimension to the hobby.

    Which cleaner for break in

Butches Bore Shine a great majority of the time and sometimes Sweets 7.62 for heavy copper removal.

    Knife Setup

I have just bought a couple of these. They weigh 70 grams without a sheath have a 10cm blade, 22cm overall with a 56HRC blade. What I like about them is they have a full size handle, I find I cramp up with small diameter or skeletonised handled blades. Victory Knives drop point

Would Tikka ever make a 280AI as a factory caliber?

Too easy. Yeh don't worry about me mate, I'm a scientist; Taxonomy and stuff. Funny enough I asked Barrett the same question regarding the Fieldcraft and 280AI. I ended up buying a second hand Kimber MA in 280AI.

Would Tikka ever make a 280AI as a factory caliber?

Equality in what, ignorance! It's not just Tikka; a great simplification. Rhetorically is this a reflection of the firearms industry or their customers?

Would Tikka ever make a 280AI as a factory caliber?

Sorry this irks me , I just have to say you are using entirely inappropriate terminology. You should be asking if Tikka will offer the 280Ai as a factory chambering. Also the 280AI is a cartridge and not a calibre. If you want one badly enough just buy a Tikka chambered on 30-06 Springfield or...

    .35 Whelan

I miss have a 30-06, currently have a 338-06 and a 9.3x66 Sako (370 Sako Mag). Tempting to get a Winchester M70 or Kimber. But really the 338-06 can do anything the 30-06 can do but better.

    Berger .277 140gr

I shoot the 140's out of a 260Rem, super precise pills. Berger had info on optimum jump range for these as they are finicky in that regard. I have never hunted with these as I have them loaded for an Accuracy International AT. But I have heard mixed reports on how they perform on game.

    What’s your rifle weigh?

I have both of those scopes. Both will work for your purpose, just verify & practice with whatever you choose to hunt with. I do prefer the BRH reticule, my brain works better in Milliradians.

    What's wrong with a Savage?

Boiled down, they just don't float my boat. I'd rather save my pocket money to buy something really nice, than buy a Savage now an then after lust for something nicer! It took me twelve months back in 1999 as a student, to save enough to buy my first rifle, a Sako 75 hunter in 25-06. I still...

    Any Aussies Selling Stone Glacier

Hi bloke. I think you will find it still economical to buy direct from the USA, unless you have concerns about sizing or warranty. The Aussie dollar is getting stronger. I'm looking at getting a Seek Outside Unaweep 4800.

    Favorite Caliber (s)

280AI would cover it all, but for the dangerous game I'd ad a 9.3x62 for good measure.
