I’m going to sit here and glass for about another half hour. Then I’m going to continue up the ridge and glass down the north face as I go. Maybe I’ll spot a buck. If I do I’m probably going to have to just wait till he gets up and hope that he comes my way. It’s super quiet and dry. Maybe I’ll be able to move as airplanes fly overhead

I only have about 2 liters of water left. Going to try and ration it out until tomorrow morning. Then I’ll have to head back to base camp to refill. Dam it, no coffee tomorrow morning, unless I stick one today - YES

I crested the ridge over the basin and I don’t see any water. Either it’s a seep or it’s dried up. Where the F are those cows getting water, I know they need it.

Well this evening was a bust. Didn’t find any water or any deer. That’s alright I’m gonna give it hell in the morning then head back to base camp with my whopping 32oz of water.
But first dinner!

It freaks me out when I don't think I have enough water. But remember, you can go three days without it, so that's comforting.

I got up a little earlier this morning and hiked about a 1/2 hour up the ridge. I’m set up near a saddle where I seen those does yesterday. Wind is good 5-10 mph in my face. Now let’s hope something comes by

Well I can’t kill what I don’t see so it’s time to pack up and head back to base camp. Shame there isn’t any water here but I’ll find it elsewhere. I’ve got about 8oz water left so I’m going to mix it with ignite and get my a$$ back to water. Wow sounds like what the deer have in mind

Eureka! A lot of water inside the mine! I hear quail all around me. YES!!

This is only about a 45 min hike from base camp! Daddy’s got a new game plan

Interesting fact is cattle need water to process thier grazing grasses so if those cattle are feeding there is water somewhere over there. When water is limited cattle will limit thier grazing so they use less water.
Are you moving to plan B or just picking up resupplies at base camp?
