I had a great experience with Rob from SandS Archery. I had a section of my trekking pole giving me trouble locking up. I sent an email and he had a new section en route to me the next morning. Definitely an awesome experience and stand up guy. Spoke to him on the phone as well and he answered...
I've run the Icon Pro 1850 since 2014. It's been a great little pack for my day trips. I've refit it to myself numerous times with 60lbs of plates wrapped in a towel inside of the bag to find the configuration that feels the most comfortable. I run my tripod, and spotter in the water bottle side...
Just bought the tan ones from SKD. I've had the harness, and have been happy with it since 2016. I'm sure I'll love it even more after the mod. Thanks for the heads up guys!
Going from the Defiant 34 to the Rx-1 Turbo has been great. The bow tuned up nicely, I enjoy the draw cycle, and it is very quiet. The Rx-1T is my favorite hunting bow to date.
I used the X Style Bino Bra, went to the S4, didn't like it, and back to the Bino Bra. Then bought a Marsupial Gear Harness and loved it. I gave the S4 to my GF and she loves it compared to the Bino Bra. I vote Marsupial, I don't think you'll be disappointed in the slightest.
I got the 64st and the on x chip and have nothing negative to say in the slightest. For me, it was worth the money. Like anything, shop around and be patient for sales.
Just a quick update:
After shooting my Defiant 34 for a few 300s and taking a lap around the 3d course today I give the harness an A+. The Diamondback 8x42's go in and out smoothly, quietly, and one handed. There were some does by one of the targets and I crept up to within 20 yards of a feeding...
Nothing yet, I was thinking about putting my license and tag in the front pocket, then a lens pen in one of the inside pockets and maybe a mini sharpie. Actually, that might give the internal pocket material the rigidity that it needs to not catch when you put the binos back in. I tend to pull...
You can also look into paintball knee pads. When I played, I used DYE knee pads that were super low profile, and made to be run, crawled, and for diving in. Underneath your pants, you'll hardly notice them.
Just got mine in earlier this evening.
First impressions were great. The straps and hardware all seem tight and sturdy. The pack was easy to adjust, and once I get the straps dialed in I'll trim them. My Diamondback 8x42s did catch in the interior pockets at first, but I put some 12x50's in...
It's not the easiest place to hunt, but we do have a lot of Forestry Service owned land around. Pick up an OnXMaps chip and take a look around. Do you hunt with a bow, or rifle? If you're an archer, I'll see you out on the range when you get here.
