Having grown up in SE OK, are there rough characters down there? Yes. Don't bother them and they won't bother you. Been far more concerned for my safety in any city I've ever been to, than I am in SE OK
Been a few weeks. Had a week of mountain hunting after my last check in, and wonky work schedule so my diet has been all over the place. Restarted and just finished week 2 of mtn tough kb20. Feeling stronger, feeling better cardio, but still sitting around 221. Need to get another 21 off
224 this morning. Down from 230 ish a couple weeks ago. Finished mtn tough foundation last week and started into their kb20 program this week. Haven't done any running the last 10 days or so, just to much going on
I'm over on the east side, where there's a bit more water and all. But I can't imagine not having a canoe. Ive had nice kayaks, but they never see the use my canoes do. I hunt/fish/camp out of them. Get a used one and you can always move it along if its not for you for a small loss on your...
Didn't see you were in OK. Me too.
Canoes aren't the most popular thing in our part of the world, but there are a lot of old aluminum canoes around. If you search ft smith/fayettville/tulsa craigslist/fb marketplace you'll definitely find a good mix. Couple years ago I bought a good shape...
I'd 2nd the rec of looking at the used market. You can find really good deals sometimes. But, as has been said, aluminum is a tank. As long as you don't wrap it around a rock/tree they are almost indestructible
I'm in. Been doing the mtn tough foundations. Finishing up week 3 to.orrow, for maybe the 3d time. Really need to get a pull up bar so I can transition into some of their other workouts. Started running this week, trying to eat healthier but not really on a diet per se.
Was down to 215 after a...
Cane creek archery puts on a heck of a nice course. Lot of good shots and some novelty stuff that they created too. I shot their first shoot, and they are improving something nearly every time I go. Highly recommend it. I think they are kicking back off in Feb
Yes. But for the best info, call the hunting contact listed for the areas. That'll be the area biologist. They will have the best info for their respective areas
I started shooting a osage self bow when I was maybe 8 or 10. Went through a couple compound stages, but i just enjoy shooting trad more. I enjoy the challenge with game more. In fact, it's been several years since I killed a game animal with anything other than a longbow or traditional...
I wouldn't. Carbons seem pretty dang sensitive to trimming. Best advise I can give, pick up a cheap arrow saw. You're going to want it if you keep shooting traditional.
But to answer your question, take it slow, id say no more than 1/4 inch per cut, if you're anywhere close
I've used my warbbonnet blackbird xlc with a 30 degree top/under quilt down into the low teens. Not the most comfortable nights I've ever spent in a hammock at that temp. For me, if I'm just hiking, I love the hammock. But for cold weather, extended trips, my floor less shelter, and sleeping...
