If you don't need back support I can recommend Walkstool. I have been sitting on it for hundreds of hours in a blind or just anywhere. The quality and comfort is great. Dt1 and Grab it, dumb question
x2 I have also made it like that. Right now I have moved the female buckle all the way to the top of the frame just to not have to use the extra lash straps. It works like it was intended with the triangle's at the middle of the frame, but if you're carrying odd items It sometimes work better... -

I would never cut it out since the divider was one of the reasons I chose timberline over highcamp. -

GPS map with elevation info

Kifaru Belt Pouch
It will fit in a small pouch, but you wont get anything else in there. I tried with an old dslr I had in the closet... a Canon 350D with a 50mm lens and it's a bit higher and deeper and the same width and I could close the pouch. -

Headlamp - What is the Best?
I've heard a lot of good things about Zebra, but I don't own one. I have a similar head lamp that Zebra makes. It's a Ultrafire UF-H6 and it uses one 18650 battery. It's very durable and it's cheaper than Zebra lights (cost was $38 I think). Since I have a lot of other flashlights that use 18650... -

GPS with Camera
It depends on what you are going to use the camera for. Like Bradb said, it's really nice to use it instead of saving a waypoint or similar sometimes, but you can't really use it as a camera for images because the quality isn't good enough. There's no menus that's in the way like Muleman is... -

Have anyone tried the REI Flash Insulated Air Sleeping Pad? What are the options if I want a light, insulated mummy-shape pad that is wide (stomach sleeper)? Insulation down to around 15°F. -

I have NO DOUBT that the pack will work fine when it's on my back fully compressed and with all straps closed. That's not the issue here. The issue is mainly when using it as a daypack, putting it on and off and stuff in and out of the pack. Lifting it from the ground and move it a few yards... -

Yes it attaches at the top but that's all... You write that it also attaches lower on the pack. Was it the same as on bitteroot bulls image?
