Shot a fallow spiker a couple months ago, wearing brown top and pants(eddie bauer guides), sitting in front of a tree with zero cover, shot him at 4 metres (12ft)
Have got some camo, but hardly wear it, can't see myself buying any in the future either.
It's slow as hell everywhere. I'm in Australia, sent some of my broadheads over to the USA on the 3rd April, they didn't even get cleared for release by our customs here until the 28th April.
It's bloody ridiculous and very frustrating. Took 3 weeks to get something from Queensland to me in...
Does anyone know what the sling keeper was called that looked like a little aerial that attached near the stay on a pack?
It's not one of the ones that attaches to the shoulder strap, like the slingsaver or sling hook either.
I remember seeing one on a video not long ago but can't find it...
I don't have the swaros, but have the Kahles RF binos, they range down to 9 or 11yds.
Not sold on the for bowhunting, yet, more bulky to get in and out of the harness while up close.
Also noticed the right eye is a lot darker than the left, it is also the same side that displays the RF reading...
From an Aussie, i'd get your trade qualifications now while you are young. You always have something to fall back on if you are stuck out of a job wherever you are for some unforeseen circumstances.
I never did a trade, wish i did, i have a lot of experience in various fields but no quals.
As...
Where would the Kahles fall?
I have the RF ones and have noticed that they are very very clear, but also noticed that the right side is a lot darker than the left, which is also the same side the RF readout is in, which must be a contributing factor.
Are other RF binos the same?
Got a few of the sea to summit compression dry bags, probably a bit heavier than a stuff sack but they get my quilt size down a lot.
Only downfall is they are then rock hard and you need to fill the gaps with loose items
You might've cut one of the glands while processing it, which then taints the rest of the meat you touched with the knife.
It's only a pig, not exactly a shortage of them and an invasive species in most parts of the world. There's more pigs here in Australia than there are people.
Helium from R&N Blades, Kifaru might have some left in their store.
Aussie knifemaker, i have a couple and love them, hold a great edge. A mate has one to and was telling me his has dressed 2 red deer and caped one head before needing a touch up.
Still can't believe people think that the micro shafts offer more penetration and less wind drift.
The broadhead will cut a hole bigger than the shaft, including through bone.
What's on both ends of most shafts? Big bloody wind grabbers, unless you use a mechanical, then you have a wind grabber...
Marsupial Gear is another to throw in the mix, i just changed to one from the AGC, i prefer the forward opening design. Some say the magnets can slap, but if you are aware of it they are a non issue.
Have had 2 AGC's, have just ordered the Marsupial. I like the lid opening way better from a practicality point of view of the Marsupial.
I also have a Paladin AMR, same lid opening as the AGC but a totally different pack, as it has an awesome carrier on the back for a few things.
I bought a cheap tipi because it had a lot of hole's in it caused by rocks being put around the edge during high winds. I had it repaired, used a fair bit of material too.
Anyone played with these yet?
Been going back and forth whether to go to a RF bino or upgrade just the binos to a better pair.
Tossing up between the Vortex Fury and the Kahles Helia RF in the combo unit, or to the Vortex Razor or possibly the Kales Helia non RF.
Currently using the cheapish...
