Help me get my 5 year old started

I am a relatively new archer and want to share it with my 5 year old. Got her a Bear Goblin because it's the lightest draw I could find. Like all things teaching kids I know rule #1 is keep it fun. What else? How did you teach your little one? Games or ideas to keep it fun? What are some...

    Savage 116 LWH - $200 off @ Cabela's

Got the Cabela's 2nd Ammendment Classic flyer the other day and saw that the Savage 16/116 LWH will be $200 off. That puts them at $499, which is around $75 less than Bud's. Good price for a pretty light gun that is pretty much a guaranteed shooter.

    Google Earth updates imagery

Nice news from our favorite remote scouting tool - Google Lat Long: Keeping Earth up to date and looking great I checked areas that I am familiar with and while it's not like it went from not seeing to seeing critters, I do believe that it's better than before!

    K&M Neck Turner

I somehow stumbled across two different K&M neck turning kits here recently. One had every arbor size I needed and the other had the dial indicator kit. Bought them both to assemble one kit for myself and now selling off what I don't need. Included is the neck turner body, power adaptor, and...

    Polarmond all-in-one sleep system

Just saw this today. "A waterproof shelter, sleeping bag and sleeping pad are three of the most important pieces of kit you'll need when bedding down in the great outdoors on a cold night. Usually those three things are purchased, packed and set up separately, but Swiss startup Polarmond has a...

    Daily schedule

Thinking about meals and planning for first backpacking elk hunt in CO this fall (first rifle). Wondering about the wisdom of approaching the day something like this: - get up early and eat snacks, bars, etc. rather than do anything that requires cooking or prep/clean up - hunt hard until...

Patagonia Minimalist Wading Jacket - Thoughts? vs FL Boundary?

Need to get a new rain jacket for this fall. I've always had great luck with Patagonia gear and have zero experience with FL. Of the jackets I've been considering the FL Boundary is currently tied or second to the Patagonia. The Patagonia Minimalist Wading Jacket feels like it has a lot of...
