Has anyone used the Weaver Quad Lock Detachable rings? I have an old pair that I never used and am wondering if they'd be any good for a .308 rifle. They're lightweight, that's about all I know about them.

I used the "quads" a lot a while back - they are certainly lightweight - screws are coarse threads and if not careful they will marr your scope tube but used carefully on moderate recoil firearms they are serviceable - Talleys, DNZ, Mountain Tactical are better IMO

I have and like the DNZ's on another rifle and was thinking of going that route but the rifle comes with bases already so maybe the Leupold QD rings. Funny thing is the DNZ's and Leupold rings both cost the same.
