127 LRX 6.5 creed

Trying to decide on a bullet for my sons elk hunt in his creed. I am leaning towards a 127LRX going a little over 2700FPS for 300yards and under.
Anyone with real life experience with this bullet on elk. We have shot lots of deer and pigs with this bullet.
Been also thinking a 140 partition as a well

Not with 127lrx, but 145lrx in 7mms puts the hammer on them. At 300yds and under you'll be fine with that bullet. There's another thread on here where it's been discussed as well.
