Is anyone running a 22" 30 Nosler?
I have a barrel in the works and planned on going 24" but with my 9" suppressor I'm thinking hard about taking it to 22"

Is the suppressor rated for that combo? If it is, chop away, I say. There are lots of guys doing shorter hunting rifles plus suppressor.

For packable rifles, I have run a 26" plus suppressor. I just dealt with it, and its no biggie to me and my style.

But, having run the numbers, just to make it more convenient, I am going to 22" with a new barrel sometime this year. The velocity loss is not going to impact the vast majority of hunting shots for me. Its gonna be about 25 fps plus or minus per inch loss. I will go from 3050 to 2950 in my 7 SS with 180s. That's easy math for long range.

Velocity is good, but it isn't everything, especially with a bigger bullet that bucks wind better than lighter bullets.

I’m planning on doing the same when I burn through my supply of 300 win brass. Running the 215 at 2950 with a 23 inch tube now, the Nos should be good for a bit more speed with a bit less barrel. Sounds like a win/win to me.

Awesome velocity
What powder?
I should mention that I have 12 lbs of H1000
And would like to run the 215/220 lrht around 2900 + with said powder

I saw that article of yours petty cool.
Not a real great comparison though with the +p mod and shorter length.

RL26, haven’t tested SD/ES yet but it’s grouping well and no signs of pressure. I’d be willing to bet H1000 in the 30 nos should get you there though.

Heads up, Grafs has 100ct bags of blem “US Manufacture” 30 Nosler brass for $1.10 a piece. Photo shows Peterson brass so I rolled the dice and ordered a bag.

Yeah man
I got in on that deal and ordered 3 bags.
That's part of the reason I went 30 Nos, when I saw that awesome deal on newly added Peterson brass it was a no brainer.
I had a 300 prc and wasn't all that impressed, the 30 nos is a better case design with a shit saami configuration..
