I have 88 eldm with 7 twist for my 22 creed at about 3200 fps with a 21 inch barrel. There's been plenty of people posting on other forums they had no issues with 8 twists as well.

Running 75eldm from an 18" 22cm. Loads sub moa at 400y. Running 3100fps. Shot two mulies this morning. First was medium body buck at 275(2600fps impact), in the crease, did a 50y death sprint and piled up, massive lung trauma, deer bleed out profusely from the mouth before I got to him, no blood as I cut neck, it was all in the boiler room and on ground. Nickel entrance through a rib, exit was quarter size throug a rib. Next was another medium body buck, 475y(2250fps impact), strong crosswind, but my nephew who's never killed a deer, put the bullet at the neck shoulder junction, pencil entrance, quarter exit. That deer was lights out. I was impressed. I have quite a lot of the 77s as well, and may try some. This load is no pressure, and is only 40gr H4350 I feel another 150fps is on the table. I only have 65 rounds down the pipe.

I did not realize I could load these with 4350.

ETA: Now I see you are loading 22CM, not .223. So sad.

Promising results with 69g TMKs and shooters world precision powder. Shot a ladder and had a nice upper range node just under max. Quick ran in the house and loaded up a few more charges in that node but ended up calling it a night. Thank you time change. I’d run them tonight but it’s approaching “prime time” and I don’t wanna screw up any of the neighbors hunting. Sometimes I can be nice like that. Hopefully tomorrow works out.

It’s got that nice varget crunch we all know and love.

WTS - Tikka superlite 223

I have a tikka t3x superlite in 223 Remington. Has about 120 ish rounds through it. The firing pin hole on the bolt has a slight bevel which causes primers to crater slightly. It doesn’t affect function or safety at all and has been checked by a tikka gunsmith I can send pictures of spent...

I'm building a 22 grendel, 22" 8tw ar upper. Chamber should be no turn necking down starline brass. Freebore is 0.080" for 75eldm, but going to run these 77s. Id think I should get above 3k fps with 8208, Varget or 4166. Have the upper all assembled just need a shell holder for necking down the lapua and starline brass. I also have a Tikka 223 on order, will likely thread for supressor at 20" or so. Will throat the chamber to have 77s touching lands with boat tail just below neck shoulder junction. Plan to get a few waterman mags to use.

If running an AR platform in 5.56 should I go with a 223 round or find a 5.56 round that works? My understanding is the 5.56 develops higher pressures due to a thicker jacket wall but...literally my first day researching this stuff.
