2p tent?

So I’m looking to get an UL tent for my elk hunt in 2020. Well to test the product out my wife and I will go camping this deer season. Can we fit in a 2p UL tent even without our gear in it?

Can you fit? Maybe if you are average or smaller and only want to crawl in and sleep. Will you be happier with a 3p for two people? Yes for sure. If it's just for one person hunting a 2p is perfect. another problem I found with two people in a 2p tent is condensation. Even though you physically fit inside, it seems like there is a lot more condensation from two people's breath and body heat.

The problem with UL is they need to get the weight down, so everything is smaller to achieve this. They only option if you really wanted to go 2p, is get one that has double vestibules. Makes for easier entry/exit and gear storage.
