Antelope Draw question

My party has 2 Antelope points and 2 muley points.

We wanted to wait until we had at least 4 points to enter the draw on some better units.

In the meantime can I enter the draw on "zero point" draw units without burning my points?

If you draw your first choice license regardless if you have enough points or it's in the random pool you forfeit your preference points and go to 0 points for that species.
