I know it’s early in the season but checking in to see if anyone has been up the Dalton highway to hunt caribou yet, and who all is planning to go at some point this year

I went back in 2019 about this time of year. The road was awful on the way up but better on the way down. Make sure you have extra gas and spare tires. Just be careful of traffic. Go slow and you will be fine.

Its a cool trip.

Depends...it can be but you have to be so far away from the pipe line if you are not getting flown in. Its a pain to walk in the tundra. Takes about an hour to walk a mile.

Ended up going 2/3 on bulls so can't complain, We also spotted way more caribou from the road on our way back than we had the week prior on our way up.

That's awesome! Do you have some pics? Also did you take them with bows or rifles?
